Post birth story

Dr. Seri puts the baby on my chest and I couldn't feel prouder. I just gave birth to a perfectly healthy and fine baby boy..without any pain relief I held his hands and touched his face while Dr. Seri stitching me down there God.. I can feel the stitches coming back and forth.. I don't feel like doing this again -__-

the birth story

It's my 36 day of pantang today and here is the birth story for my kids' reference in the future (read: always listen to your mom ok giving birth was not easy) On the 12th April we went to see Dr. Seri for my 38-week check up, anticipating some certainty "Hi nadzirah, i was waiting for you since the day you informed me about the bleeding tapi takde dtg2 pun" "tulah doc..i thought losing the mucus plug would mean I'd be experiencing labor right away but no..there were contractions here and there but nothing happened" "hmm..baby tak nak  keluar lagi la tu!!" then she scanned and checked my belly for baby's position "he's actually getting down there..i would say that he is at 2/5 position. it could mean hours or few days away from labor..we don't know for sure.. so we'll see you next week for your 39-week check up..unless..I don't know what daddy is going to do to mommy tonight.." she chuckled "ohh..i t...

Waiting game

So we headed back home. Ok i lied i made hubs drove to Mydotty's in TTDI because i was craving for their pastries  (1 eclair for RM10 fyi baby M) They were out of croissant donuts so i bought caramel eclairs.yumms. check out Mydotty's instagram then on monday morning i went to ofc to settle some pending matters accompanied by hubs and suphie At noon just before having dimsum lunch at IOI Marriott (it was actually mr.husband's craving) more blood show came out-obviously thicker this time- checked with dr.seri and she said need to wait for established regular contractions or signs of amniotic leakage And just to note here that only with this 3rd pregnancy that i realise th...

Sime Darby Medical Centre, 27 - 29 Nov

Image
Late post. We went to see Dr Sharmila on the 27th for Suphie's follow up appointment after she was discharged the previous week. She was still having fever on and off so Doc suggested another round of blood test. Also to look into her neutrophil count. After blood test result came out, Doc informed Suphie's dengue positive. And her neutrophil count is severely low. Doc suspected it's lab error but insisted to have her admitted just to monitor her for few days. We were shocked because apart from the fever, she seems perfectly fine. Because it is that time of the virus spreading season, PCMC was full. So we requested for sime darby medical centre,as we thought that would be nearest and most convenient.or so we thought. At SDMC, poor suphie need to do another round of blood test and her result is still dengue positive. Her fever spiked on the first night to 39.8. But it went down to normal the next morning. Other than that, she appeared playful with all smiles and ...

Prince Court Children Ward 18 Nov 14

So she was having flu, bad cough and fever on and off for 3 weeks same like her sister Hannan but yesterday she started to reject her food, her temperature soared to 39 and she was crying here and there. So we went to pcmc. Doc prescribed  suppository to suppress her temp, put her on nebulizer and instructed for blood test (the nurse had to do it twice because they couldn't get sample in the first try grr mummy only cried when i got out from ER observation ward) Then we waited for 5 hours to get to the ward as there were so many ER cases last night and most of them involved babies and the rooms were almost fully occupied. Lucky our kind doctor Dr Sahri immediately booked us one of the rooms. This morning Doc Sharmila came and checked Suphie. she told us that it's only viral infection so nothing much to be worried and make sure she consumes much fluid So day 2 at PCMC and i feel relieved that i can take care of my baby without stressing about work

33 weeks

the 3 weeks of running back and forth to pcmc was finally over both ummi and lil princess are now doing much better  and seeing Dr. Seri and Dr. Fauzi yesterday proved that everything's back on track, alhamdulillah baby z is also doing fine and her growth and weight is back to the average graph (I did mention that her weight was above the graph last time right?) oh yes, her head is down this time :) and I've been itching to write this since yesterday, that having to see my dearest Dr Seri gave me some sort of assurance all our questions and doubts were answered happily and sincerely maybe she naturally has that in her. Allah's great gift to a sincere wonderful gynae like her I feel more relaxed  and since yesterday, I believe I should naturally just wait for baby z to come out  in her own sweet time. in her own terms as Dr Seri pointed out yesterday, inducing should not be an option because of my previous scar God works in magical wondrous way...

One after another

Was ready to go back home today but after further analysis, Dr Fauzi said it's not possible. I'm now getting the asthma symptoms. Tightness on chest.shortness of breath.dizziness. Walking for more than 3 minutes is not a simple task right now Shortness of breath is actually normal in pregnancy, but Dr Fauzi said that my lungs are still inflammed and the airways are tight. Some ppl get this after the lung infections are gone. So here I am.Day 4 in the hosp. But hey, there's a reason for everything. Thnk u Allah. May this make me closer to You.

Bronchitis and Pneumonia in Pregnancy

Image
So I've been coughing for 3 weeks and having fever, flu, dizziness in between The 1st week:cough was very bad that it woke me (and hubby) up several times.i just couldn't sleep It came with nausea and belly cramps that I  thought I was in premature labor.of course I was panic and put hubs in panic mode as well. I was at 29 weeks Apart from that I didn't expect anything else because I thought that they are ordinary coughs that I used to have since school days I remember my  standard 3 math teacher, Mrs Tan, upon hearing my cough from the back of the classroom, said in her high pitch: "Siti, kenapa kamu batuk kung kung mcm anjing?" -_- Anyway, during my antenatal appointment with Dr Seri few days later Dr Seri suggested to me that they are not ordinary coughs. She set my appointment with Dr Fauzi from the respiratory clinic right away And from Dr Fauzi I heard the word bronchitis. He prescribed antibiotic and phensedyl and some lozenges 7 days ...

and the best gynae in KL/Selangor is..

no, I don't know the answer to that. of course I can't say anyone as I only saw not more than 10 gynae in the last 6 years but I can talk about those I met and had personal experience Like Dr Onny Although I was uncomfortable to have a male gynae at first, I braved myself It turned out to be a good experience Ask him tonnes of questions He seems to be more than happy to answer and explain them with graphics and references I heard that he used to have his own specialist clinic called pusat perubatan ibukota in KL Old school, fatherly figure, sometimes can be funny without him even realizing it Very detail and careful attending his patients Make sure you remember your health record like last day period, rubella taken or not, type of blood, etc etc..before going to see him as he will ask them Dr Hamizah from LPPKN Jalan Raja Laut is an angel She's very gentle, supportive and attentive sometimes give you religious point of view on why you still...

Second Visit to PCMC: 19 Sept 2011

Image
This morning Hannan was admitted to NICU. Again. Really feel bad for her. Really feel like I didn't treat her good enough. Poor baby.. Sorry Hannan, Ummi didn't know.. We are actually thankful to Iwan who noticed Hannan's conditions during hubby's friends' "surprise visit" yesterday. We were so confident of Hannan's health and condition at home that we totally forget about it. That the jaundice might come back. Because we were totally overwhelmed by her presence at home. By her cry. By her smile. And the way she behaved. She's such an angel. We totally forget about the jaundice. After Iwan and the rest left, I tried to bf her but she appeared weak. and was so deep in sleep. I cried to hubby. I panicked. We quickly called PCMC and went there straight away. I wept hearing her cried to her lungs when the nurses took her blood sample yesterday. Twice. The reading was 248. The M/O said he had discussed with Dr. Sharmila and Hannan need not be adm...

Prince Court 11-15 Sept 2011

I didn’t get to hold Hannan on the first day she was born.. attached to the hospital bed in my room, i was put on drip and urine catheter and not able to move at all.. seeing Hannan’s pics in hubby’s blackberry made me so emotional.. cried so many times.. especially when I saw the video of her drinking formula.. I felt so guilty of not being able to feed her.. I only got to see her on the second day,noon.. after they removed my drip and catheter hubby pushed me on the wheelchair to the NICU and I almost cried upon seeing her (guess it’s true that they said ibu-ibu lepas bersalin ni byk hormone).. I was asked to breastfeed her.. .. felt stressed because the head nurse was watching me and everything I did seemed to be wrong.. Late Tuesday evening the lactation consultant came to give explanation and how to on bf and I cried upon unsuccessful attempts. The lactation consultant then invited hubby and I to the lactation class on Wednesday morning and I was really glad...
