Body Issues- How to Reduce Weight in 2 Weeks

Warning: there is no advert on any slimming product or fitness regime in this post. I just want to share / provide alternative perspective on fighting with weight issues. I am not a person with the best body or the best weight. Believe me. But I have struggles too. for me personally, I started since standard 3 since that boy that I secretly had crush on called me "DONUT" because of my fair, well rounded face. I still remember the way he was standing next to the field, shouting, calling me "Donut!Donut" as if "cheering" for me during my 4x4 relay. He was the one who started it. He made the 10 year old girl me at that time, believed that I have some serious issues with my body. Then at high school, of course I was still carrying those round cheeks, and I was not the skinny type either. I think my waist was 28 at that time. I was in plump category. I was so embarassed with my face I never lipat my tudung. The body issues also became serious towar...

and the best gynae in KL/Selangor is..

no, I don't know the answer to that. of course I can't say anyone as I only saw not more than 10 gynae in the last 6 years but I can talk about those I met and had personal experience Like Dr Onny Although I was uncomfortable to have a male gynae at first, I braved myself It turned out to be a good experience Ask him tonnes of questions He seems to be more than happy to answer and explain them with graphics and references I heard that he used to have his own specialist clinic called pusat perubatan ibukota in KL Old school, fatherly figure, sometimes can be funny without him even realizing it Very detail and careful attending his patients Make sure you remember your health record like last day period, rubella taken or not, type of blood, etc etc..before going to see him as he will ask them Dr Hamizah from LPPKN Jalan Raja Laut is an angel She's very gentle, supportive and attentive sometimes give you religious point of view on why you still...

married couples and pregnancy

lately i got few people coming to me either personally or through e-mail asking my opinion about pregnancy problems firstly I understand completely your predicament be it 2 years, 3 years, 5 or 10 years or marriage waiting for a child to complete your life seems to be such a long wait 1st year is usually bearable for these couples things like "haa..belum ada isi lagi?" or "bila nk ada anak..jgn plan2.." seems to be the usual teasing but entering 2nd year, the pressure suddenly feels heavy on us women and you suffocate everytime you get those remarks or comments sometimes you feel like saying "makcik ni takde hal lain ke nak cakap?" or "can you talk about something else?" but of course, you just smile and walk away or do something to distract that person if you have additional energy, you'll say things like "belum ada rezeki" or "takpe, honeymoon dulu" yup, not easy to wives make sure that you are not carr...

Glucose test for me (yeay?) this morning so i had to fast since 12 am yesterday The nurse took my blood before giving me the "special drink" had to wait another 2 hours after drinking for another blood test can u see through the feelings of "enough of glucose already!" I was really hungry and drinking that glucose thing was not soothing at all Poor hubby I was a complete whiner after drinking the thing and he was not a good accomplice I persuaded him to give me just a lil bit of plain water after the glucose test but he was so firm that i had to completely ignore him and used his laptop :p 12.30 pm we went in to see Dr. Seri So friendly and bubbly as before, chit chatting about raya and everything, she explained to us that my bp, hb count, glucose level and etc are all ok then the scanning part Hannan was still covering her face with her hands and legs although Dr Seri asked me to turn my body for different angle of scanning her face can't...

"ya, puan, boleh saya bantu?" "saya ada appointment dengan dr. seri from o&g.." "oh..puan naik lif ke tingkat 6, di sebelah kanan ye.." and so we went.. sampai di kaunter klinik o&g, one of the first question yang dia tanya "payment macam mana ye puan?" entering 30th week.. easily feel exhausted..short of breath.. leg cramps came back since last week.. and having headache since yesterday.. not sure whether this is normal entering 3rd trimester..or i was too tired jalan-jalan at yesterday's expo.. hopefully it's not my blood pressure.. and hopefully hannan's is not in any way affected.. this amazing little human inside me is so active that sometimes hubby get surprised to see hannan's movement on my belly... hubby and I dreamt about my delivery experience..both of us dreamt that the process was easy!!hopefully aamiinn!! and that's why i've been searching high and low for mothercare perenial cream since the past few weeks but sadly they are out of stock.. huhu..

when I become pregnant.

below are almost all extra expenses throughout my 28 weeks of pregnancy so far: tops/skirts/maternity pants/jubah - RM600 +? i'm no small size ok.. maternity/nursing bra - RM200? snacks/munchies - extra RM200 on top of my regular makan-makan expenses every month? glad now no more snacking time as the loyaness is gone..alhamdulillah.. antenatal checkups - RM150 every month as I went to LPPKN and FPP before.duphaston is the expensive factor due to my medical history. if you are having normal pregnancy, your doctor may not prescribe you this. lucky that now I'm covered under hubby's medical benefits :) shoes/sandals - RM200? since high heels is a no-no :( baby magazines - RM40 every month? and now i can't wait to shop for hannan :)

Stretch marks already appear at my thighs! yikes! been putting on Palmer's cocoa butter every day and night every single day praying and hoping it won't be permanent huhu and I've also been feeling the backpain guess from the weight that I've gained most of the time, I would need hubby's help to get up and i also need two extra pillows now as i sleep on my sides to support my growing belly :) and i also need to be extra careful as I tend to lose balance nowadays especially when cooking in the kitchen Hannan's getting more and more active kicking and doing all sort of his/her things especially in the evening can't wait to finally hold my baby in my arms.. and I'm really grateful that hubby is still giving great support to me in this phase of pregnancy been really, really patient and showed that he really, really cares thank you love..

big.

lately, i always get this remarks "eh, perut you besar ye?!" -__- well, fyi, this is my first ever pregnancy after all those years of trying through medication, traditional, supplements.. and because of my history of difficulty in conceiving my doctor advised that i take extra care of this baby and observe my daily intake of obimin so that my child would not be deprived of oxygen and grow healthy so i don't care if you tell me that I'm having a big belly or whatever i just want my baby to be healthy

caffeine in pregnancy

from babycentre.com Now that I'm pregnant, do I have to stop drinking coffee and avoid other sources of caffeine? There's general agreement that pregnant women and those trying to conceive should avoid consuming large quantities of caffeine. But after decades of controversy and conflicting evidence, there's still no real consensus on how much caffeine is safe during pregnancy. The March of Dimes advises women to limit their caffeine intake to less than 200 mg per day (that's about one 12-ounce cup of coffee). This recommendation was prompted by the results of a study published in the March 2008 issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology that showed that moms-to-be who consumed 200 mg or more of caffeine a day had double the risk of miscarriage compared with those who had no caffeine. Not all studies show a link between caffeine consumption and a higher risk of miscarriage. Still, it may be smart to err on the side of caution and stick to the Marc...

Maryam.

Prophet `Isa's (as) Birth and Allah's Support of Maryam Allah fully supported Maryam throughout her pregnancy. It is very difficult for a woman to give birth, a potentially life-threatening experience, all alone, without medical equipment or a midwife's assistance. Nevertheless, Maryam overcame all of these difficulties by placing her complete trust in Allah. Allah helped her with revelations while she was struggling toward a date tree in the full throes of labor pains. Allah told her not to grieve, that He had placed a stream at her feet, and that she should shake the date tree in order to get freshly ripe dates to eat. He also told her to drink and to delight her eyes. As a result, she gave birth in the best possible circumstances. Allah reveals her situation: The pains of labor drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She exclaimed: "Oh, if only I had died before this time and was something discarded and forgotten!" A voice called out to her from under her: ...

it is true.

it is true that when you are pregnant, you somehow lose focus. (wait, who said that?) lately, my energy and drive in meeting work datelines have somehow diminished. I'm more interested in reading mags/blogs about babies/pregnancy, browsing through website getting info on strollers in the market, breastpumps, etc..etc.. i enjoy walking for hours at MV or KLCC doing window shopping for baby stuffs.. and accidentally buy things for myself (ye ke accident?) and i just couldn't resist last monday :) tadaa!!! i finally bought something for hannan at Parkson KLCC boy i was so proud to finally buy something for my baby! i bought all white since we have not confirmed whether hannan's a cute gal/boy the feeling was so overwhelming can't wait  to buy some more..perhaps in natural color..brown and more whites!

FPP Putrajaya

yesterday was the first time we went to putrajaya hopital for Hannan's check up 1st pit stop: the registration counter at 8.20 am - so many people queuing already! approaching the counter: "saya ada appointment dgn dr. hamidah - FPP" and the lady at the counter passed me to the guy at the next counter. apparently i didn't have to take number as everyone else. the guy who did my registration was stern looking. not a bit of smile shown on his face. and the way he talked was so serious. he was more like a robot. yes, maybe he is a robot. only a robot talks that way without any expression. poor thing that this robot is put at the front counter to attend patients. after paying RM110 for first time registration, the robot gave me a slip and a small yellow book and instructed me to go to counter A. so hubby and i terkedek-kedek finding counter A. ohh, it's actually the O&G clinic. so i quickly greet the nurse at the reception counter: "saya ada appointm...

YEAY!!

only yesterday that hubby started to identify hannan's movement! feel so happy that he finally can feel it with me! because i was always excited whenever hannan's doing those things but feel rather quite down when hubby said "mana?takde pun..bukan perut honey ke yg gerak?" or "tu bukan air dalam perut eh?" -__- anyway, yesterday's incident was quite funny i put hubby's hand on my belly and whenever hubby started talking hannan would kicked/punched! it happened 4 times in a row! as if hannan's playing a game with daddy! good for you hubby! pic source: google
