There's a reason why 2 people stay together: they give each other something nobody else can

Happy new year. This is the first year that Hannan is in lower elementary. Little did I know that this first week really drive us exhausted as there are so many things to prepare and think about especially when your child is a picky eater who strongly refuses to eat unfamiliar food. So far, she did well and managed to stay calm and listens to instructions in class (of course I stalked on my daughter and no it's not creepy) Her first complaint was she didn't like staying in school for long hours (8am to 5 pm) and that she missed us. (we miss u too sayang) Suphie joined her in the new environment and so far doesn't seem to have any problem as she's only there for halfday although she is no longer with her big sister in the same class. She adapts really well. Hopefully Hannan and Suphie will have fun in this school. Insyaa Allah

The other day we were telling Hannan that we are going to visit my uncle who is very sick in Muar: Hannan : why is tok ngah sick? Daddy : because he's very old Hannan : (thinking) are you old daddy? Daddy : Very old! (Laughing while ummi already saw where this is going) Hannan: (long silence) are you going to die? Daddy: (silence) what do you think? Ummi: why sayang? Hannan: but i miss daddy (started crying and hugging me).. what if i don't have family..? Ummi cried too... I told her to pray to Allah for Daddy's health and everything that she wish for so that Daddy can always be there for her..and she did.. and Daddy kissed her and asked her to smile and laugh and she smiled..forgetting the sad emotion that she had.. She's only 4 and she started worrying about us dying.. *tears Oh Hannan.. how can i explain to you that everyone dies..that it doesn't depend on what age you are.. it just happens when you least expect it and it can happen to...

In the car: Hannan: daddy can u buy mom a ring? Mom is your wife right? If u buy her ring then mom will become princess!! Mom: awww...you're so sweet hannan..daddy can buy ring and necklace and bracelet for mom too right? Hannan: yeah!! Good girl. On the bed: Hannan: mom, how did bobo and kitty come out from yuki? (Those are cats at my my mom's place) Mom: from yuki's belly sayang Hannan: How? Mom: from yuki's belly Hannan: i said HOW mom Daddy: good luck Mom: errrrrrrr.... later we check yuki and find out how ok? "Lucky" all the cats are missing now (someone took them!!) so i think she might forget the issue

Kudos to daddy for his trust and confidence, Hannan is now diaper free for the past 1 week plus, except during sleep There were failures of course eg poop in my mom's living hall or  peed on aunty sab's lap, but those failures only happened in the granma or granpa place Anyway, so proud of her achievement and her biggest supporter is of course lil Suphie "Yay Hannan you did it!" Said Suphie, enjoy watching her sister on the potty -__-

Err..hello? *cricket sound* Okay okay lemme explain on the long hiatus Blame the Instagram I like it much better over there. Pictures with some caption and no newsfeed or sick ads   Anyway..we are still in Syawal so a lil bit update here It was a very simple celebration for us in Seremban and Muar this year, we didn't even get ourselves new clothes for Hari Raya (read: economic downturn.little bonus) but Hannan and Suphie enjoyed Raya so much. They enjoyed visiting relatives, meeting the young ones especially and getting angpows. They also enjoyed wishing people "Selamat Hari Raya" without fail,every time. And they love singing Hari Raya song by Ahmad Jais and Suasana Hari Raya. Oh and they started screaming to each other already. Yup, the sisters rivalry. So we still trying to convince them that talking nicely to each other gets things done even faster than the hard way. But when one is not around the other one will look for her.  On my part..I...

Ms Hannan is so talkative nowadays and lots of questions and funny remarks come out from her like: "Can Allah hear me?" "Where is hannan ?" (while watching ummi daddy wedding video) "Daddy, wiping the table will make it slippery for the fly" "Is uncle Shef a chef?can he cook?" "I thought we are going to play area?" when we tell her that we are going somewhere But her current favorite sentence puts a hole in my heart: "I thought i think so" Oh my god forgive me for saying this sayang but it really annoys me as it doesn't make any sense and for the fact that i can't explain to you how illogical the sentence is Been trying to feed her with other form of sentence but i think she secretly knows that it annoys me that much that she purposely say it over and over again -___-

Haircut. Been contemplating about it until i saw her hair getting more difficult to manage. Dry ends and tangles took us so much time So with heavy heart... Tadaaa...

Suphie got discharged yesterday My babies finally home

Suphie at 11 months: 8kg Understand simple instructions such as lie down.sleep.stand.sit.waving bye bye and saying hi. Pointing to her nose or showing her tongue. raise her hands when we ask to recite dua She shakes her head and put her hands in the air whenever she hears music. Be it Hi5 or any random music playing in the shop Very friendly. Smile  most of the time She loves books. especially the ones with "actions" from ummi - jump, bounce, sounds And last 2 days she got a new skill- drinking from the straw! What worries me is that she hasn't got a single tooth coming out. Is that normal? Hannan at 38 months: 15kg Always say that she wants to eat something else but just couldn't let go chicken and rice. The most "bizarre" menu that she tried was carbonara pasta. Recent fav music: maher zain song. She recently said that all praises to Allah means alhamdulillah, which startled us. She knows at this stage, crying will get our attention. a b...

Suphie's been having bad cough Went to pcmc last sunday and Dr Sahari said he could hear some wheezing. He prescribed like 3 minutes neb just to get her chest clear Although losing a bit of appetite she's still active Thnk u daddy for taking 2 days off to tag along with ummi to kuching for work and taking care of the kids in the hotel room Their timing was a bit off track because of the travel but they seemed happy throughout the stay Maybe they don't  mind traveling as long they have either ummi or daddy in front of them all the time And today I'm  missing my babies at work Mood: Let's go for more holidays

Happy 3rd bday dear Hannan.. and Happy 9 month old Suphie Ummi love both of you very very much our visit to the orphanage shelter yesterday just made me realised that I had more to do in raising both of you. May Allah swt always protect you and guide you

scenario 1: shower time "hannan..let's take shower.." "Hannan want to shower with daddy...!!" "Come sayang..just a quick shower.." "NOOOOOO!!!!!..." and started crying while ummi picks her from daddy's lap scenario 2: monday morning after shower.. "ummi..hannan don't want to wear this" "why?this dress is nice..like princess.." "no..I don't like it..I want to wear t-shirt..please...." -___- daddy always give in while I always appear as the bad cop not going into her direction. sorry sayang.. I hope that when you are reading this..it's not that I don't love you..it's just a matter of discipline..I will explain more when the time comes ya?

aaaaahhhhhh...pap..parapp.. (intro for Raya song) Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri..Maaf Zahir Batin to friends, family and fellow readers It has been a month..and I miss you blog! so much to talk about.so much to tell. but at this point of time, I forgot most of it. On Raya: I was down with fever/bad cough/flu/migrain from raya eve to 3rd raya. (oh this year at JB) So I spent most of the time in the car, sleeping, crying, tak larat. Not fun Even looked horrifying in our family raya picture. so no raya pic here. But lucky people don't forget to give my kids duit raya heheh..thnk you..thnk you On kids: Hannan - lots of questions from her at this stage "why Ummi? Because..?" then cebik2 her face H: what is Allah doing..? U: Allah is watching us sayang.. H: watching Hannan in the tv? U: urmm..maybe! but the funniest one came out from her yesterday: H: can we go to hotel Ummi?Hannan wanna go to hotel.. U: Can..but you have to pay if you wanna say at t...

the other day.. "Hannan..can you sleep at the baby cot with Suphie?" "no..Hannan want sleep with Daddy.." "Hannan sleep with Suphie la ok? Daddy sleep with Ummi" "No daddy please....Hannan loveeeee Daddy..." *daddy mode cair Looks like Ummi is the one who's going to sleep in the baby cot later -__-

The big sister has becoming more and more verbal nowadays. She can ask the same questions again and again. Again and again. Kids have LOADS of energy. We adults are no match when something is not in her favor she will question you "why not?" "Ermm...I'm just..." when being asked what she's doing "Thank you Allah!" and then she immediately answers "welcome!" in a deep voice. Haih. "can follow Ummi's office?" With sad face whenever she feels bored Extremely manja with the daddy. Every night she wakes up from sleep shouting/looking for the daddy if she discovers the daddy is not by her side. It's world cup season dear Loves her lil sister.  Only certain toys separates them away.for a minute. Sometimes she declares possession on her toys whenever Suphie tries to grab them. But most of the time they enjoy playing and screaming together.

"5 little monkeys jumping on the bed One fell ofd and bump his head Mama call the doctor and the doctor said "No no monkeys jump te te la pet"! That is Hannan's version of the song When her bread is finished: "Bread is finished. Let's go buy bread" Whenever she sees aeroplane: "Huh! Daddy! See that! Aeroplane!! Bye aeroplane. .see you soon..it's time to sleep.." When passing by the playground: "Friend, go home! It's already dark! Go take shower!"

Super early, super simple celebration, just the 4 of us thnk u hubs I hope we won't feel old in giving each other more surprises or bday presents in coming years (presents?keep them coming!) Oh, and it's Suphie's first time on the plane! She was crying (read: loud) at first and I know it must have been challenging for other passengers (sorry!) but after giving her expressed milk, she fell asleep right away. And as I mentioned in previous post, Hannan is no longer afraid of the beach sand and sea. She played her version of sand castle for hours. The weather was cloudy so it was all just nice for her. I love the hotel staffs. from housekeeping, concierge, buggy driver, kitchen staffs. they have been friendly last time and still are. We just went out to Hj Ismail shop for chocolate shopping and spent the rest of the time in the hotel. It has been 2 days We asked her to recite prayer before sleep and to thank Allah for the day And she asked: "Where Allah? Hannan call Allah"

When I jokingly told her that I'm afraid of crocodile: "Don't worry Ummi! Hannan don't catch crocodile. Fish ok!" Our ritual is to have a group hug before bed but recently she's opposing this: "No hugs!Time to sleep!" When daddy played and was singing loud to Suphie in front of the tv while she was eating at the dining table watching Frozen: "Daddy, sit here!" When daddy put her Twiggies inside Suphie's stroller: "Supphie!Don't eat Hannan's Twiggies!" "Ummi, see, 2 fours!" while both hands raising 4 fingers each. and she's no longer afraid of the beach and sea. she's grown up. *tears

Happy 8th year anniversary dear hubs I never fail to remember how we first met virtually. Never fail to remember the day we met in person. Our first lunch. Our first date. Our engagement day. Our wedding day. Sad and happy moments that we shared. Ups and downs. Tears of sadness and joy throughout all these years. I want to always be your best friend. To grow old with you. To be in jannah with you. Just with you. I hope you feel the same way too. Happy 30 months old Hannan At this age you always surprise us with your cheeky and beautiful words and actions Always making us miss you whenever you are not around Always making us happy Happy 3 months old Suphie At this stage people always give us remarks saying you look bigger than your age and how fair you are but the most special thing is you always amaze us with your sweetest smile and coo Always reminding us to be thankful to Allah for giving such a beautiful baby
