FPP Putrajaya
yesterday was the first time we went to putrajaya hopital for Hannan's check up
1st pit stop: the registration counter at 8.20 am - so many people queuing already!
approaching the counter: "saya ada appointment dgn dr. hamidah - FPP"
and the lady at the counter passed me to the guy at the next counter. apparently i didn't have to take number as everyone else.
the guy who did my registration was stern looking. not a bit of smile shown on his face. and the way he talked was so serious. he was more like a robot. yes, maybe he is a robot. only a robot talks that way without any expression. poor thing that this robot is put at the front counter to attend patients.
after paying RM110 for first time registration, the robot gave me a slip and a small yellow book and instructed me to go to counter A. so hubby and i terkedek-kedek finding counter A. ohh, it's actually the O&G clinic. so i quickly greet the nurse at the reception counter:
"saya ada appointment dengan dr.hamidah under FPP"
"letak kat situ"
"hah?"
"letak semua tu kat situ" instructing me to put the reference letter, slip and the yellow book at a basket on the counter.
"ohh" i said, and went away to sit with hubby.
after a while, my name was called.
the nurse pulled out a red book from her drawer and jotted down all details on my pregnancy based on the reference letter from lppkn plus short interview session with me.
"pertama kali mengandung?'
"pernah gugur?"
"tarikh nikah?"
"ada sebarang penyakit?"
"jenis darah?"
"keluarga ada sebarang penyakit?"
sounded like the robot guy earlier except that this nurse put some effort to look at my face -__-
"okey, pergi buat urine test kat dalam"
and so i went in. there were so many rooms inside and i was not sure where to go. so i asked the only nurse i saw standing in the middle of the hallway.
"saya kena buat urine test"
"tu kat bilik spesimen tu. instruction semua ada kat situ" and pointed out at a room.
another heartless robot.
and so i read the instruction pasted right next to the "bilik spesimen"
after reading through and thought that i'm able to do it without fully understanding what the instruction said, i went in the "bilik spesimen"
ohh, it's a toilet.
inside the toilet i saw two specimen bottles placed on the sink.seemed to be used just a short while ago.it's the bottle that clinics usually give you for urine test.
and it suddenly came to my mind..omg, we are using the same bottle used by earlier patients?!
how can i be sure that those earlier patients washed them thoroughly?euuwwwwwww
but i had to use it anyway (sigh)
when i came out from the toilet, not a single nurse was there. so i went to a room and asked the nurse inside what shall i do with the test?
she looked at it and said,"ok, normal. asked the nurse in front to write it in your book. and throw that thing away"
fine.
after having a nurse to record that down, i waited with hubby
and waited and waited
while eating 3 pau kaya/coklat/kari ayam
and waited and waited
and oh yes, did i mention that dr. hamidah is having her routine check on warded patients?
just don't understand why they gave me appointment at 8.30 am knowing that dr. hamidah will be late.
after that long wait, finally my name was called
"masuk bilik 57" the nurse said. again, another robot.
only then that i realised that I skipped the queue. no wonder i was not given number like everyone else.
and inside room 57, we met Dr. Hamidah. surprisingly, she is a nice lady doctor. so lemah lembut and attentive. unlike the nurses.
she scanned through my belly and showed us hannan's hands, legs, belly and heartbeat.
she told us that hannan now weighs 800 gram!how time flies right?
she then ordered me to take my first tetanus injection
it was painful!i still feel numb around the injection area till now :(
our next appointment will be end of july
but after going through the whole process, i'm thinking about going to other hospital, if covered under hubby's medical benefits
one: because i don't feel comfortable that the FPP patients are attended by same doctors and nurses for other normal non-paying patients. FPP patients can get to jump the queue just because they have more money to pay. i thought that FPP putrajaya is similar to the private wing in hukm - entirely different wing/division. but it's not.
two:i don't like the process and robots/nurses. so different with nurses in lppkn.lppkn nurses are like angels!
