Baby health 101 - thrush
last week was a bad one for our lil baby
I noticed there were some white patches in her mouth and lips on Wednesday but I thought it was milk residue or her lips just got dry since she was also teething
I hesitated to go to the clinic because she seems to be all fine when she's with me
the only different thing was she's a bit crankier
she had fever but still I thought it was because she's teething
and then she was not eating and crying and everything just seems wrong
and my dad suggested that I bring her to clinic because he suspected those white patches are the culprit
so I took emergency leave on Thursday and brought her to a clinic nearby
but I was not convinced with the doctor so I called PCMC to get their opinion
the next thing i know, I was already on my way to PCMC bringing lil princess
she cried so loud the moment the nurse and doctor touched her face and checked her mouth
the doctor did a thorough check on her hands and feet as well as he wanted to make sure it's not hand foot mouth disease
and yes..the white patches WERE the real culprit
doctor told me that the thing actually hurts so that is maybe why she's cranky

so doc gave her some oral gel and syrup for consumption
and alhamdulillah, she recovered from that nasty infection
