Majlis Aqiqah and Cukur Jambul: 23 Jan 2012
alhamdulillah..
majlis aqiqah and cukur jambul for our lil dearest Hannan went well
after being postponed many times due to our hectic schedule and budget issue (of course) finally we had the majlis on chinese new year heheh
the majlis started at 12.30 with the arrival of the kumpulan yassin marhaban all the way from ampang
they recited yassin, doa selamat followed by marhaban
Hannan dozed off when they started the marhaban session hahahaha
The ceremony was simple actually, little cuts of kurma was dipped into air zam zam and put at Hannan's lips
then the ladies snip her hair and those strands of hair were put into water
(and we are supposed to shave the rest of her hair for weighing but that is not done yet)
anyway thanks to Aunty Arbaiyah from the kumpulan yassin for explaining about the rituals
it was hot and sweat were all over my face carrying mighty baby Hannan around but what the heck
she didn't enjoy so much being in the cradle
i guess she didn't have enough space to stretch
Through out the majlis Hannan cried a lil bit here and there, hungry and feeling hot wearing the princessey dress
plus she's got so many fans kissing and wanted to hold and play with her lalala
but she managed it through
yeay way to go Hannan!
ummi and daddy are so proud of you
utmost gratitude and appreciation to family and friends who came all the way
with presents and ang pows
we estimated around 150 pax of family + friends but there were more!
alhamdulillah..
having you guys around just made it more meaningful
and i was a proud momma when everybody was asking whether I'm fully bf Hannan as she seems all chubby
it does pay off :)
we love the cradle deco (mybabypimpom), the marhaban+berendoi (Kumpulan Yassin Marhaban Saffinatunnajah Ampang), the candy buffet deco (SILs nana and sabrina), the candy buffet (oohh the macaroons were the grand champion! credit to SILs and MIL)
the catering of the day was by En. Halim from pengantineksklusif.com
