what you give you get back

This time around I think I learn to appreciate my mom more than ever
The whole experience of having hannan gives sort of reflection, how would I want hannan to treat me when I get older

What you give you get back remember?

There was one time I discovered a torchlight at mama’s room downstairs so i asked her what’s it for?
She said: “Malam-malam gelap sangat so mama on la torchlight mama ni..bil elektrik along kan tinggi bulan ni, mama tak nak la bukak lampu..sbb tu ma pakai torchlight”
I was almost in tears

She never asked me to pay all the electricity bills that I consumed for the past 23 years before I got married
When I need to have hot shower
When I need to stay up late for night movies or listening to favourite radio segments
When I need to switch on the tv and light because I was too scared
When I need to use the pc to chat in long hours with hubs

I remember when I was in my teen years I kinda hate my parents because they didn’t seem to understand me
I always saw their fault and their lack of effort to understand me or get along with me

But I forget that:
Mama always bring me to saloon for new hairstyles – means that includes wash and blow

She always bring me to facial– that time already cost RM100+ - or buy me expensive skin products

She gave me RM5 to school everyday, which I saved quite a lot from that and managed to buy “branded” t-shirts (you know la at that time..OP, Quiksilver,No Fear were the”it” brands and buying RM70 worth of t-shirt was a big accomplishment so that I can brag to others)

She was there almost every week when I was in boarding school
She would wait for me in the car after school hours everyday

She was there during my monthly hospital visits (that time I had acute headache which need to be referred to neuro specialist)
She would cook something special on my bdays (my younger brother often got jealous of me)

She was there when my upsr/pmr/spm result were out plus convo day and cried as if I am the best student in the whole wide world
p/s: appreciate what you have today
